Senior Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying the Group Companies financial transactions. The Senior Accountant responsibilities include reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger and preparing month-end closed procedures. The successful candidate combines excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyse financial reports and forecasts. It also includes ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of Group’s accounting and finance matters.

 

Responsibilities

 

- Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable;

- Issue Invoices, post on accounting software and send emails to clients for payments:

- Check accuracy of invoices received from suppliers, post on the accounting software and arrange for payment;

- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results;

- Analyse financial information and summarise financial status;

Provide technical support and advice on Management Accounting;

- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures;

Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process;

- Provide input into department’s goal setting process;

- Prepare financial statements, produce budget as per schedule;

- Assist with tax audits and tax returns;

- Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance;

- Plan, assign and review juniors work;

- Support month-end and year-end close process;

- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls in Group’s matters;

- Ensure compliance with IFRS / Seychelles & Hong Kong GAAP principles;

- Liaise with the Head of Finance to improve financial procedures;

- Deal with banks, auditors and other administrative work.

 

Requirements

 

- Proven 2-3 years’ experience as a Senior Accountant is required;

- Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant;

- Relevant certification (ACCA) will be preferred.

 

Salary:

 

- Competitive salary commensurate with experience;

- Package includes medical scheme and a discretionary performance bonus.

We are looking for a TRUST & CORPORATE ADMINISTRATOR to join our team! 

 

The Trust & Corporate Administrator is part of a team of client managers and administrators involved in the management and administration of client entities, such as trusts and companies set-up in multiple jurisdictions. The Trust & Corporate Administrator takes charge of a portfolio of clients/entities. He/She understands the various requirements and obligations pertaining to such entities. He/She efficiently delivers the required administration and management services, in line with Schindlers' polices, in a pro-active manner and with great attention to details.  

 

Main Responsibilities:

- Taking charge of a portfolio of entities, and proactively understanding each clients' profile, expectations and legal requirements.

- Performing various tasks for the clients, including activities relating to the establishment, management, administration of trusts and companies, as well as ongoing transactions; e.g. incorporation, migration, deregistration of companies, bank/investment accounts opening, preparation of transfer instructions, shares acquisition/transfer, implementation of loans, acquisition/sale of products, investments/divestments with international service providers/banks, preparing/providing documents relating to compliance matters, drafting resolutions, attending to general operations, etc. 

- Liaising with clients, suppliers, financial institutions, regulators, accountants, etc. in a professional and responsive manner. 

- Updating data base and ensuring availability of statutory and transactional documents.

- Ensuring adherence to Mauritian regulations and Schindlers's policies and procedures.

Maintaining/developing good relationship with the clients by providing pro-active and high quality services.

- Any other duties and responsibilities as required/assigned.

 

Requirements of the position

- Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral.

- Degree, or Chartered Governance Institute/STEP, or relevant experience (ideally, at least 3 years experience in a similar position).

- Well conversant with compliance, company secretarial and corporate administrative matters for companies and trusts.

- Understanding of accounting principles.

- Ability to work as a team member.

- Motivated, with good/professional attitude, interpersonal skills and highly developed "attention to details" skill.

- Capable of working independently and meeting strict deadlines.

 

Salary:
